I'm first! : ) Please count me in. That is a pretty design, and I haven't even seen it yet.

Last week, Mom and I went down to Biloxi and New Orleans. I think the Gulf Coast is a lovely, laid back place to visit.

Congrats on having 200 followers!

I saw the picture on my blog feed, and rushed over to congratulate you on your quick finish! LOL

We don't travel very much, but last weekend we ate at a fantastic Egyptian restaurant! Does that count? ;) Hmmmmm....A year ago we went to Savannah for our anniversary - it was the perfect time to see the gorgeous camellias blooming in the squares!

What a sweet giveaway! I love this design, don't you? I hope you bought everything for yourself as well.

My favorite place that we visited recently. Well, haven't visited that many places, really. Except for Boothbay Harbor, Maine and Boston. I love both places. And we go back to both a lot. Boston we have no choice in the matter. lol!

I've been to many lovely places, in Europe: London, Paris, Amsterdam, smaller cities as well... If you would ever visit one of these I can recommend some nice restaurants and places to see... And of course where I live in Bruges, Venice of the North. A beautiful medieval city.
For my yearly holiday I love to go to El Gouna (near Hurghada) in Egypt. It's a little village build for tourism, no skyscraper hotels, but everything is in Nubian style. The weather is always good and people are nice. You can't really visit the "old" Egypt from there, but you can always go for 2 weeks, first take the cruise on the Nile for about a week and then rest in El Gouna :). Best period for this is november... July or August is way to hot (over 40°C) www.elgouna.com

Wow, Chris, this is extremely generous of you! Please count me in; I am a long-time follower and love stopping by to see what you have been up to. Congrats on reaching 200!

I spent the weekend in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, treating my little sister to a birthday celebration. Fort Walton is a lovely little beach community on the Gulf Coast, with awesome food, shopping, and people. We hit antique stores, eat at our favorite bistro (Ali's), and caught a movie when we weren't having a blast talking and relaxing together.

Thanks again for such a wonderful giveaway opportunity. Please stop by and enter my Valentine Giveaway if you're interested...it ends Thur, Jan 31st at midnight.

Such a pretty design in your giveaway, Chris! Congratulations on your 200+ followers--I would love a chance to win that sweet chart :)

My favorite place that I've visted lately was The Biltmore (which you've probably been to already!)... My husband and I went there to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and I fell in love with the setting in those wonderful NC mountains. Hope to get down that way again this summer for a family wedding...

I just returned from a long weekend in Las Vegas where I met with 6 other stitchers. We had a nice weekend full of stitching, eating, slots, and laughter. Not necessarily in that order ;)

We've been to so many wonderful places both near and far, but the most recent trip was to CA to see our daughter and son-in-law in December. One day that she had to work, DH and I took the train down to Oceanside, walked around, sat on the pier, enjoyed the warm sun, watched the surfers and pelicans, and had lunch at Ruby's Diner on the pier. Super relaxing day!

This past September I went to Ft. Huron, MI. We watched the freighters head down from the big lake to the st. Lawrence seaway. It was so much fun.

Following as Renee G on GFC. One of our favorite places to visit is Coeur d'Alene, ID. In summer we can boat on the lake, ride our bikes on the local trails, or just go hiking. In winter - there's bald eagle watching or exploring the Christmas light show. Any time of year, it's a great place to visit.

Yay Chris! Congrats on reaching over 200 followers! I love this chart and would be grateful to be entered into the pot of names :D Hmm, last interesting place I visited was Porpoise Bay on the Sunshine Coast of BC. Congraulations on 200 followers! We haven't done too much traveling lately but one of my favorite places to visit is Burlington, Vermont. It's a fun, funky college town with lots of places nearby to visit if you get tired of the town. I also have a soft spot for Virginia Beach and its boardwalk.

Lija Broka said...

Would love to be entered. I don't tend to go to many places ... so the question is a little hard. I'll have to say Durham (North East of UK). It is where I lived for 4 years during my University time. I occasionally pop over to visit friends etc. Seeing the town in this new light is very unreal. There is Cathedral, Castle, even a small secret garden not far from centre where in the summer one can drink tea and look at flowers, there is a river by which one can have picnics.

What a lovely design and congrats on your 200th follower! I'd love to be entered into the draw please.

Just after xmas my parents, sister, hubby and I went to stay in a little seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast called Filey. There's really not very much there, a few shops for supplies and a couple of coffee shops, but there is a massive and generally very quiet beach, so we pulled on our wellies and went for a splash in the sea. It was a great way for us to get away from the craziness of London.

As I know you enjoy visiting cemeteries, I'm going to give you a local spot to visit - Raleigh City Cemetery. It is the oldest public cemetery in the city. Some of the earliest leaders of North Carolina are buried there. While many of the stones have felt the effects of time and neglect, the cemetery is still a fascinating place to visit.

I'm so proud of your 200 accomplishment!
