Wellsville Chintz

Good morning Friends!
If you have been traveling along with me for awhile you know about my hunt to add more pieces to my everyday dinnerware. It is not something that I scour eBay for everyday but now and then I do look. One day last week I scrolled through the listings and saw a piece that I hadn't ever seen before. I blinked a couple of times to make sure of what I was seeing and then hit the buy it now button.

I received the 2 cup milk pitcher in the mail yesterday. The smaller creamer shows you the size of this piece.

See the 1960 date on the bottom?
I mix the black and red versions of this pattern. It seems like there are more red serving pieces available compared to black ones out there. The cool thing about restaurant ware is finding all the odd different pieces. I would love to find some no handle individual creamers, a few more celery plates and some mustard pots. The hunt continues...

I did put a few more stitches into my Summer Tribute sampler on Sunday.

That's it from here.
Have a great Tuesday!

Nice find! It's very pretty -- great addition to your collection! Love how your stitching is looking too. I want to stitch that one someday. Need to kit it up.

ooOoo! Sometimes I get really pumped up with ebay finds. I have to control myself. I also don't look often or there would be trouble. I guess we only need so many poodle items. Or so I am told by the males in this house. ;)

What a lovely addition to your collection, Chris. Interestingly, my mom grew up in a small western NY town called Wellsville!

I like your new pieces Chris! Recently I bought a red&white cup and saucer (Spode) at a charity shop and now I want to start collecting it! It can be very catching!

I like that Sampler! I need to find mine from my stash.
