This is Stacy Nash's Tribute to Summer Sampler. The colors are very muted.
When going through my floss, I saw some big color lot differences....
Ugh! I hope that I don't run out of the one that I chose to use.
Have you seen Halloween at Hollyberry Farm? I love it. But maybe I need to stitch this one first. Or Christmas at Hollyberry Farm, since it is also in that basket of kits.
What am I doing starting a summer piece, I should be stitching something fall or for Christmas! I guess that I have a seasonal stitching disorder.

Oh, no, you enabler you--I hadn't heard about Halloween at Hollyberry Farm! Will have to go check it out. If it's anything like Christmas at Hollyberry, I'm doomed :)
Maybe you could blend the two together so then you wouldn't have to worry about running out.
I hate the dye lot differences -- it's such a pain to deal with! Love your new start! Who cares if it's not summer anymore? I love the new Holly Berry Farm -- love all of them!

Why not start a summer piece now? Nobody says that you have to finish it by next Christmas, lol. Finish it by next summer and everything is perfect.
Wow those are major color differences. I hate when that happens, you want to use existing skeins but don't want to run out before you finish.

What a pain! There is quite a difference there in colors.
Summer Sampler is very pretty thus far.
I laughed at that first sentence! So true but oh well,life is short, stitch what you want.
I saw the new releases from Stacy. They are really nice and so tempting!

Dye lot differences can be a challenge! I bought most of my thread for Anniversaries of the Heart at the same time. Then I misplaced some of it and repurchased those later. Amazing the differences! In one case, the skein looked more like a completely different color than the skein of the same color.
Beautiful start to your Stacy Nash piece. I purchased her patriotic Hollyberry Farm project along with the linen. I'm not sure if I'm starting that next or Sarah Elizabeth Brooke. I may just keep at the WIPS until Christmas.

Dye lot differences are a challenge alright. Sometimes it does look pretty to mix them if in the same color family - greens especially. And of course it depends on the design. Love your new project. Sometimes we stitch what speaks to us - no matter what season it is:)

What a great new start! I have the same problem, lots of WIPs to finish, and even more good stuff kitted up and calling my name. You should stitch what you feel like stitching.
What a pretty start! I have noticed the same thing with colors. I have to be very careful that I use a similar color when I run out of one and need the same color.

Also have noticed lately that some I have gotten recently really have very little variegation to them. Unfortunately, I have seen the new Stacy Nash designs, and I love everyone of them. :)
I love muted colors, it's going to be beautiful. I haven't see 'Halloween at Hollyberry Farm'...I'm going to go google it now.
Love your new start! I am the same way, if I could add all the stitches I put into starts I am pretty sure I would have a few finishes by now. I have this one and couldn't resist getting Halloween. I ordered it as soon as I saw it!

What? You're just commemorating the final days of summer with your trip to the coast and the lovely new start! Those lot color differences sometimes look like a totally different color, don't they? You understand subtle shading differences, but really? Gotta go find Halloween at Hollyberry!
That dyelot problem happens a lot with the overdyes unfortunately. I love all the "Hollyberry Farm" patterns so hard to decide which one to do!
