Thanks for traveling to Wilmington, NC with me. On Saturday Rich and I decided to head to the beach. It has probably been about 4 years since I have put my toes in the Atlantic.
The mini club went off on a drive. I wasn't too keen to do that since I drive so much. They did set a record for the most cars ever on the Southport Ferry:)
Here is Wrightsville Beach. So pretty.
We went and played in the waves but the current was really strong. The temperature of the water felt wonderful and we probably would have stayed in longer.
Drying out :)
We only spent about an hour and a half on the beach. The traffic when we left was bad. I am glad we went early and left early. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing until we had to drive over to the U.S.S. North Carolina for a mini photo shoot and dinner.
Here are some of the cars starting to line up.
More minis...
Getting ready for the group shot...
Hopefully I will get a copy of all the cars lined up in front of the battleship but they haven't been posted yet.
Then dinner on the deck of the ship. How cool is that?
Look at the table center pieces!
Look at the mini flag flying!
The weather was perfect. We sat with a lovely couple from Wake Forest, NC who had only had their mini for 3 weeks. Thank you to Flow mini of Raleigh for hosting the event. Dinner was great and the location couldn't have been better.
A gorgeous sunset. And we could tour the ship afterwards. What a memorable event. Next year they will be going to Asheville and the photo shoot will be at the Biltmore.
I worked some more on Margaret.
I finished the basket. I am loving the blues and greens in this sampler.
Some birds.
Now I will put her away until I head out on another adventure.
Have a great week!
Thanks as always for riding along.
