More From Pittsburgh

Woohoo!
Pittsburgh you do not disappoint!
Our first stop was to the National Aviary since we woke up to morning rain.

We saw some amazing birds.

Look at these jokers.

They were feeding some of the birds in this pic.

This guy just kept hanging from his beak like he was saying "Look! No hands!"
When it was time to leave the rain had mostly stopped so we headed down to take a sightseeing tour on the river.

What a great way to see this city of bridges.

Unfortunately it was a little cloudy.

After that we headed over to the strip district and walked around.

This area has lots of food emporiums and restaurants.

Pretty colors.

Olives.

Biscotti.

There isn't anything like this where I live so we really enjoy exploring.
We had an early night after this day.
Thanks for coming along and as always for your kind comments.

Hugs

Hi Chris -- so glad you got to the Aviary -- it is an awesome place. Did you see the Sloth (my favorite non-bird there)? And I love the Strip -- there is a pretty neat store down there that has a ton of interesting buttons...wish I could remember the name of it.

We are bird watchers so the Aviary would be on the top of our list of places to see. Have a great time!
Stay safe,

I've always wanted to go to their zoo, and I did end up there in the middle of the night while looking for UPMC. Then down a long lonely skinny road next to the river. We finally made it in time for surgery!! I heard the strip district is fabulous and I LOVE those penguins.
