Sunday

Hello Dear Friends.

Every week  I hope that I can get into a normal routine and every week I am not able to do that. This week I need to be focused and make it happen.
Last Friday was really hard at work. It was very busy due to our printer failing the day before. Then I went and worked at my second job and Saturday I worked at a job that I am doing a test drive on. Is it worth less stress and to be able to work 4 days a week for less money? I have to figure this out.
I finally settled down tonight and picked up my January Halloween ornament.

I think I will fill the orange side in with black and the black side in with orange. What do you think?
I have my February stitch picked out and of coursethere is my Scarlet Letter piece. I need to settle myself down to stitch. My mind has been too busy to focus on stitching or sleep. Ugh!
The upcoming week I have dinner planned with a friends on Thursday and Friday and the Piedmont Heritage Sampler Guild meeting in Saturday. Check out the guild's blog. It has info about samplers, exhibits and our programs.
Thank you for all the kind comments and entries in the giveaway. You have been giving me great travel ideas!
There is still plenty of time to enter the giveaway. Just comment on the Sweets For The Sweet post.
Have a great week.

Love your progress on the Halloween design, great idea to do the opposite colors, I think it will look great! Sorry you have been so stressed lately. I had to make that same choice about 2 years ago when I moved to CT. I took a 4 day a week job for less money but for me it was so worth it to be without the stress. Stress can take a toll, and I had been under it for quite a few years. And the upside now is I always have 3-day weekends :) Sending you positive thoughts for stress-free days ahead and more relaxing and stitching days instead!!

I can see some progress on your Halloween stitching. I will keep you in my thoughts. Sometimes the stress just isn't worth the extra money but only you can decide. I will keep you in my thoughts and know I am sending hugs to you each and every day.

Your Halloween stitching is fab - I think an orange/black combo would look amazing!

Good luck with figuring out what to do about work. I think less stress is worth it. But that's just me. Love your Halloween stitch. Not sure what I think about the filling in.

Your Halloween ornie looks great! I think the orange/black black/orange color scheme will be fabulous! So sorry to hear you are still having problems on your job. I also vote for less stress, if you can manage it financially.

That's a great idea on the Halloween piece! Stitching IS my calming, settling activity. If it is a possibility AT ALL, I'd say go for the less stressful job. Is it worth your health and sanity for a few dollars more?

Love the Halloween stitching!

Sometimes you just have to do whatever it takes to be happy and have less stress. I know from family experience that stress over the long run is really bad and can cause lots of heath issues. Hope you can find the peace to know what is best for you.

What Krista said in her comment is so true Chris. I went through a period of great stress that was work related and it was not until that period was over I realised the toll on my health.

So sorry you're having such a stress-filled year, Chris... I think I would choose the 4 days/less money route, too. In the long run, just think of how much more relaxed and healthier you will be without the anxiety you're now experiencing... Good luck--I know it can't be an easy decision.

Love your little jack-o-lantern--hope you're soon smiling as widely as he is :)

Sorry to hear the stress is not lessening. Honestly, if you can do it financially, I'd go for the lower stress job. The horrible things that constant stress does to your mind and body just aren't worth it. Very cute ornament. I like the black in orange, not sure about the orange in black - maybe because it's not something I normally see.

Looks like a cute halloween design. I like the idea of filling in with the opposite color. Sorry to hear of the job stress. It is so much better to pick fewer hours and less pay..sometimes the money just isn't worth it. I once just up and quit a job due to stress...did something else for less pay for awhile and then returned to my profressional job (differet place) with a bit of stress--but nothing like the other job. I wish you luck with whatever you choose.

Hello Chris,

I'm sorry to hear that you are under a lot of stress at the moment. Don't be too hard on yourself if you haven't found the stitching time. I hope that you have a great time with your friends at the end of this week and that you can relax and enjoy the Sampler Guild meeting on Saturday.

Finally, I love your little pumpkin halloween stitching, looking forward to seeing it progress :)
