Mt. Hood & Ramona Falls

Hello Friends,
I hope that every one had a great fall weekend. Can you believe that it is October!
Today's adventure took us up to Mt. Hood.

This is up above Timberline Lodge. We walked for a little while on this trail but headed back to the car to head out to another trailhead.
Here is the lodge.

What an amazing building.

Here I am up on the balcony where FDR opened the lodge in 1937.
We headed over to the Ramona Falls Trail head for a hike that was suggested by the kind lady at the Government Camp info center. It was a wonderful hike.

This picture doesn't do the falls justice.

It was almost a cathedral like setting.

These woods are just amazing.
The 7 miles were so worth it.
We drove back to Portland a different way and stopped here..

What an amazing farm stand and orchard.

Rich and I bought some Asian pears and apples and boy do they taste amazing.

I am so glad that we stopped there.
The rest of the drive back was on 84 along the Columbia River Gorge.

There were amazing views.

Another awesome day!
Thank you Oregon!
Chris
