Soooo Close

It was a quiet weekend here. Saturday after Zumba and grocery shopping I had a quiet afternoon. I did get some done on Loose Feathers, I really wanted to get it finished.

This morning Rich and I went for a hike. The trail was open by our house, so we hiked there.

I was surprised at the area that burned. It really wasn't near a campsite. It seemed like the leaves and branches on the ground burned and that the trees are ok.

About 70 acres burned. It is a blessing that everyone and their homes were safe.
I am looking forward to seeing everything from Nashville. Other than that I wish everyone a great week!

Hugs!

Lovely stitches! How wonderful to have trails to hike so close to your home. Interesting how the fire burned ~ so glad everyone stayed safe!

The BBD is looking great! Too bad about the fire damage : ( Luckily the forest has probably already started the process of beginning to replenish itself : ) Blessings, Shirlee

You've made wonderful progress, Chris! I'm sure it's hard to stop stitching on this one :)

What a relief that no one was injured or no homes damaged with that fire--70 acres is a huge area!

Your Loose Feathers looks great! Sunday is a good time for a walk! For a change, we had a very cold day here so no long walk.

You're not far from finishing your piece. It's looking very pretty.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the Nashville offerings too. I know Mom had a really good show, which makes me happy for her.

Lovely progress! Sometimes forests need to burn to grow back stronger.

Your BBD is looking so pretty, not long and you will be finished.

How long will it take for the woodland to recover from the fire?

Lovely progress on your BBD!

Wow, 70 acres is quite a large area! It's a wonder no one was injured during the blaze. Thank goodness!
