Mid-week

Good morning!
I hope that everyone's week is going well. I have been enjoying cooler weather. When I leave the house in the morning and it is 61 degrees I am happy.
I have been stitching on the small for a friend. I am not going to have it finished in time for Saturday. Tonight is my night at CVS and tomorrow night is EGA.

This is a picture of the Asheboro Female Academy.

I have never seen a piece of needlework from here. Right mow the building is suffering. I tried contacting the historical society but have never gotten a response, I sent in money and never got a response or newsletter or anything. It made me very frustrated. Oh well. One day I hope to see some needlework from here and hope to see a more active historical society.
Well off to work!

Isn't it amazing how cooler temps, lower humidity and bright sunshine can lift one's spirits!?!

What a great building. How sad that it is not being cared for. Hopefully someone will step up before it's too late!

That is a shame no one is taking care of it. I do hope someone will come along and see the beauty and history.

I am certainly enjoying the cooler mornings but the afternoons have still been hot!

What a charming little building.

What a lovely old building. It really frustrates me to see historical buildings go to rack & ruin. Recently several Victorian buildings were pulled down in our neighbourhood to make way for so-called 'luxury' apartments. I could have cried. How on earth the Council were able to do this is beyond me. Good on you for trying to do something about it.

What a neat little building. It is so frustrating to see historical sites like that not treated with more respect.

Enjoy the cooler weather! It's supposed to be in the 40s tonight -- I can't wait to sleep with the windows open!

Oh it is very irritating when no one will even acknowledge you!!! I wonder what you would have to do to get someone to care? What a worth while project. It should be a little museum and gift shop or something... I hope that you are having a great week. It's cool here at night too... the other morning it was 33! Yikes! Has felt like fall for the last couple weeks... we barely had any summer... enjoy the cool. :)

Where I live, it seems the only interest is in tearing things down to build new. I love old buildings with their history. Enjoy your cooler weather. I love summer, but will be glad to turn off the air conditioner and open the windows.
