The tomato plants that we put in this year are pretty sad. It has been very dry the last month. There were some thunderstorms that came through on Tuesday and dropped the temps and really cleared the air and the days have been beautiful.
Thursday night a group went out after work to celebrate our 2 pharmacists still having jobs and one persons retirement. Remember the ceramic party? This is the platter that came back for the retiree. We all put our fingerprints on the plate and the pottery place drew all the little animals. Isn't it cool. My fingerprint came back as a ladybug :)
Last night after work Rich and I went to see Transformers 3. The special effects were amazing. The storyline wasn't the greatest but I enjoyed it.
After the movies Rich and I went into downtown Greensboro. This is a famous spot. The Woolworth's where the lunch counter sit in took place. Here is another cool building.
We met friends of mine to hear some live music and some dancing.
On the stitching front nothing has happened. I am going to change that today.
I had time to catch up on reading my favorite blogs and commenting and replying to comments. There is still time to enter my Blogaversary giveaway. I am trying to decide what to add and I am leaning towards a gift card.
I need to go get some housework done so that I can stitch.

Oh, that plate is the cutest! I would be thrilled to get anything like that from my coworkers, so I am sure that the recipient will be very happy! I can't believe how talented all of you are - those animals are super-sweet!
I love tomatoes and Rob loves corn. As soon as Georgia corn starts coming in we eat it at literally every summer meal.
Love the plate and thanks for sharing the pics. Hope you got lots of stitching in today.
:-)
Love the plate! I hope you enjoyed your fresh vegies.
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.
Boy, does that thumbprint plate bring back memories, Chris! When I was growing up we used to have a book that showed us kids how to make all sorts of animals using your thumprints--just like those on that plate. What a great idea for a retiree!
Hope you have a great weekend with a lot of stitching time as well...
That plate is the greatest! Wonderful idea.
