Some progress

I finished my little patriotic pin pillow for a friends upcoming birthday.
For the back I used the flag from a Prarie Schooler chart. I am very pleased with how it came out.

Now I have started the Isabelle Johnstone sampler from SANQ. I am in love with the cow. Also, I like the funky border. Green is one of my favorite colors so I am enjoying stitching the piece. When I ordered the fabric I just requested that I be sent what ever the directions called for. I should have known it would be 28ct. It seems a little chunky to me since I usually stitch on higher count fabrics. I am stitching the piece with DMC. I am making some decent progress ( knock on wood!!!) so you should be seeing some progress updates.

My recovery from the surgery is also progressing. I actually drove a little the last couple of days. Afterwards I had some pain but every day seems to be getting better. I still have to watch sneezing or laughing. I can't watch Psych, it just cracks me up and it hurts too much :)

That's it for now. Back to some stitching or maybe visiting some of my stash.

Oh I love the patriotic pillow you made! Just beautiful! I hope you're recovering well from your surgery. I've only had a small surgery in comparison and I know it knocked me for a loop. Take care, and thanks for commenting on my blog!
