Texas ✔️

Hello Friends,
First-I had 6 people interested in the Schoolhouse Samplings chart. I used a random number generator and Kathy L. was picked to receive the chart. Kathy please get your address to me and I will send this off to you.
The past week saw me take a quick trip to El Paso, TX. By quick trip I mean that I wasn't gone all week. There is no easy way to get to El Paso. Going out there I went from Raliegh to Nashville, then on to Phoenix and finally El Paso.
When I flew into Phoenix, I saw this from the plane. They are ready for the Super Bowl.
Coming home it was the same number of stops, just some different ones.
When I got to El Paso it was late afternoon and I headed out of town for a steak dinner. This was the view from the restaurant.
This was my view in the restaurant. It was a very nice meal.

From my hotel room I can see Juarez. El Paso is a border town with Mexico.
The next evening 6 of us went out for Tex Mex.
This looks like the real deal.
I had an chicken enchilada with red and green sauce. It was delicious and so different than other Mexican meals that I have had.
The next day I headed back to the airport for an early flight out.
This huge statue is at the airport entrance. I had time to stop and get a pic early in the morning.
  Thank you El Paso!
The rest of my week was pretty uneventful. I got a little stitching done on this Chessie & Me patriotic piece.
This week I will be in North Carolina working at a couple of different sites.
I am hoping for a good week with some more stitching.

Thanks for traveling with me!

Chris

What a great view from the restaurant. How do you find all these spots when you arrive at a new location? Steak looks luscious, not sure about the multicolored things at the other place!

What a neat view from the restaurant, it's like the set for a western film. You eat such a selection of different foods on your travels Chris, it's fun to see your choices.

Since you have your new job I have seen so many pictures of areas in the US that I have never been to and probably won't ever be able to go to. Thank you so much for sharing all these travel experiences.

Hi Chris! Boy, do you ever do lots of traveling! (this is coming from someone who's never been on a plane!) I always enjoy seeing photos of the places you visit...as well as your beautiful stitching of course! The sweet kitty in the post below looks like one of mine. I have an all black cat too, Kittycat. He was a stray but now he's a very happy house cat! xo

Oh I'd love some good Mexican food. Yum! It's good your trips are all in the south right now. Travel safe! Loved seeing the sites!

Sounds like you had a great trip to TX. Your Mexican meal looks yummy. We have a small hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant that's the real thing. So good!

Great start on your next project.

My parents were in El Paso for a college Football Bowl game a few years ago - they quite liked it and am glad you did too!
