I bought a carry on suitcase for my new job( I have named her Blaze) so this is her inaugural run. This is the setup that I will be using for my traveling in the very near future.
I met Susan at my friend Louise's house in Greensboro.
Susan and I stopped at this lovely little store in Rianoke, VA.Susan was on the hunt for one of these little forest animals that when finished clip on your tree, see the sweet fawn? Susan picked up the bear kit.
After that it was time for lunch so Susan and I went to The Texas Tavern for hot dogs. I was here in March with Rich.
The rest of the drive was long and rainy. We got off the highway for gas in PA and I spotted this lovely brickwork on this barn. I saw a few more like this before we got back on the highway.
Susan and I didn't get to our hotel until after 7 so we stopped for Hoagies and Cheesestaeks before checking in and ate at the hotel.
If you are from this area you know that hoagies come with oil and vinegar and a little oregano. This is an Italian hoagie. Yum.
Well that is the first part of the adventure. Thanks for traveling with me.
There will be more from the road.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet! Have lots and lots of fun Chris!
Looks like lots of fun so far. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
You do get around Chris, I'm looking forward to more travels with you. By the way, I've never heard of a "hoagie".
I've never seen a barn like that. Cool!
Sorry you had such nasty weather though. The farms and fields of PA are so pretty on a sunny day.
Have a fabulous adventure! Hope the weather clears up for you.
Enjoy your weekend!

Not good that you had to travel during such a rainy day. But the yarn shop ceratinly was a nice highlight. Have fun for the rest of your trip.

You know I love me a good road trip and if I can't be travelin' I love reading about others' travels. Looking forward to the next installment from the road. :-)
Hi Chris! Sorry I couldn't meet up with you and Susan...how was the Penn Market this year? YOur drive up weather-wise looks like what we had most of our vacation - lol. At least we were cozy in our new camper. Good to be home...not so good getting back to work today. Hope your new job works out well -- let me know.
