Myra gifted me with this lovely table mat she made. If you hop over to her blog you can see a post about this sewing that she has been doing.
I love green and I am thrilled with this. It is now on the table next to my stitching chair. The jar of chocolate was a little treat for Valentine's Day. Yum!
Myra went on to run some errands and Rich and I went for a short hike. I am glad that we are both feeling well enough to get out some. Our pace was not up to our normal speed and we did not hike as far as we normally do but it was great to be outside.
Downed trees over the winter...
On top of the ridge... These rocks remind me of the spikes along the back of a stegosaurus . Soon the trees will start to leaf out and spring will be here.
The afternoon was spent with some housework and a lot of food prep for the upcoming week.
The top pic is salad for dinner tonight with red onion, celery, cucumber, tomato, grilled chicken and feta. The middle pic is banana bread for Rich, he takes a slice for his lunch daily. The bottom is chili, Rich will use some to make nachos tomorrow night and we will have some for dinner later in the week. I also made a batch of Skinnytaste spaghetti squash, spinach and cheese casserole. I will take this for lunch during the week, I love something warm for lunch. I feel like I will be eating healthy this week.
So now it is time to watch the red carpet and the start of the Oscars and maybe put some stitches in.
If you are in the path of the upcoming storm be safe my friends. Thanks for stopping by, your visits and comments mean so much.
