Something For Me

Oh Friday. So glad that you are here. Even though I may work a couple of hours at one of my jobs tonight after the 9 to 5 and that I have to work the other job on Saturday. I have still been taking it easy, it is only the past 2 days that I have felt that the crud is starting to leave... And good riddance! Don't let the door hit you in the a**!
Wednesday night I went to a dinner program after work for one of the drug reps that I deal with at the 9 to 5 job. I really didn't want to hang out in town but I didn't know if the rep would have enough people show to go on with the program. I work at a behavioral health facility so it is always good for me to learn more about the patients that I deal with and the drugs that we dispense.
So dinner was at a restaurant named Gia in Greensboro. This restaurant does seasonal small plates. Here is a collage of some if the plates that they created for our meal.

There was cauliflower puff, hummus with their heavy version of a pita, a salad with blackberries and a pear vinaigrette, salmon on a bed of zucchini and venison with white asparagus and beets and chocolate pistachio and peanut butter cups. Lots of wonderful flavors. I am glad that I went but I paid for it yesterday.
Here is my new start for me. I fell in love with this chart when it came out. Myra was kind enough to lend it to me so I figured that it was time to get it done.

I am stitching it with the recommended DMC on a piece of 35ct parchment linen from Weeks Dye Works. I hope to make some progress on it this weekend.
Thank you for stopping by and as always for your kind comments.

Let's get this Friday started!

Nice start. That is one of my favorite designs too. Looks like a nice dinner with some fancy dishes. How do they make that salmon stand on end? :) TGIF! Have fun!
