Marietta Stebbins of Deerfield, MA

I was able to finish up Marietta last night. I love how the over one motifs and cartouche added to this sampler.

There is a group of samplers from Deerfield that has these creepy birds on them. They are sometimes referred to as white doves.

There are also these fruit baskets on many of the samplers and the fruit have a dot in the middle.
I love stitching samplers from places that I have been or love. The Pioneer Valley and Deerfield are some of those places.

It is a gorgeous area with a lot of history.

There are some very old structures.

Visit if you can. Deerfield is also the home of Yankee Candle.
If anyone would like this chart I will pass it on with the leftover threads. You would just have to get some linen. If you would like the chart let me know in the comments. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name from the bowl next Wednesday.

Now about my Dr. visit yesterday, so you can stop reading here if you are tired of my being sick :)
I saw my regular provider and had 2 shots, a breathing treatment and have 10 more days of antibiotics and 18 days of prednisone. If the person that I had seen the first time had looked at my chart she should have been more aggressive, I did get her to give me a stronger antibiotic but she didn't address the asthma component that kicks in when I get sick. Needless to say, I am very aggravated over the situation. I just want to start feeling better. Now I have lost more time and spent more money. ugh!
Well that is it for my rant.

Thanks for checking in and as always thank you for your kind comments.

Have a wonderful weekend!

What a gorgeous finish! Love it! Sorry about the having to go to the doctor again. I guess there's something to be said for sticking to your regular provider. :( Feel better!

I agree with you Chris, doctors should look at charts more often, they seem to only see dollar signs and donot take the time to be look.
I hope you are feeling better soon very soon.
Love your Sampler, wow the history info is very interesting.
I only buy Yankee Candles because they are made in the USA.

Hope you are feeling better real soon. Your finished sampler is just beautiful. I haven't tried stitching over 1 thread yet but you are inspiring me to start. Please add my name to those interested in your chart. Looking forward to seeing what your next work in progress is.

Wow, a great finish! She looks gorgeous.
Hopefully you will soon feel better with the new round of antibiotics, but not very funny to have to take them for so long. On the other side, what else can you do? Have a restful weekend.

Hope you will soon be better Chris, our doctors have stopped giving out antibiotic's so it is hard luck if we get the flu.
