Boys & Their Toys

Dear Friends,
Thank you for all your kind well wishes. Rich and I continue to struggle with this flu. Hopefully by Monday we will both be much better.
Rich went from this on Thursday....

Doesn't Beau look comfortable?
To doing some of this on Friday.

And some of this.

The snow is quite heavy due to the freezing stuff that came down on top of the storm and now that it is melting. Our driveway is really long and winding, without the plow we would be snowed in. Rich doesn't get to use it very often.
I spent some time organizing the sampler ads that I cut out of these antique magazines. My girlfriends have theirs organized by states for easy reference. Many of the samplers that are pictured here go into private collections and you never see them again.

So in organizing these I was surprised how very few New York and Virginia Samplers I had images of.
I also did some more filling in on Marietta.

There is a huge slub in the middle above the a at the end of Marietta. This fabric that came with the kit has a lot of them.

Some progress on the LHN freebie.

Here we are... Flu-tastic Valentine's Day 2014.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful Saturday!

I sure hope Rich was feeling up to plowing up that snow! Poor guy. At least he had fun with the plow. Love the pic of Beau enjoying Rich. lolol! Love your stitching progress too! Feel better!

Glad to hear you are both on the mend. There is one advantage to being sick during the nasty weather - you don't feel the need to be outside doing anything. Very nice progress

Beau looks so relaxed, mind you so does your hubby. You really are into your samplers Chris, it's great to enjoy a subject and get lots of pleasure from it.
