Ready For The Cold?

What a Monday! A low of 8 tonight and a high of 23 tomorrow. This is cold for North Carolina. I know that it sounds warm to others in the North. I am keeping all my friends up North in my thoughts and prayers. The extreme cold brings such problems. When I was in High School we had a stretch where it didn't get above 0 degrees for over a week.
The weekend was quiet here.

I spent quite a lot of time on this. My phone that was over 2&1/2 years old finally died so Rich and I have new phones. The iPhone is new to Rich and he doesn't have much patience where phones are concerned. So I have been spending time putting his music on it and get it configured properly. Big time suck! Hopefully he will be able to use many of the features. He face timed his parents yesterday so that is cool.

I wanted to stitch more this weekend but was only able to accomplish a little. I feel like if I can find a couple of blocks of stitching time it will be done soon.
Stay safe and warm my friends!
Have a great week!

I am so lame. Ion,y use my phone for calls and a few texts. I guess I need to get with the times. Stay warm, it's only 5 outside here right now.

It's so strange, we have been having spring-like temperatures since December, and in your country you've git an extreme cold wave. So stay warm as well as you can.
You are right with the sampler, you get nearer and nearer to the end.

Yes it is cold! Good luck tutoring with the new phone, it can be challenging. (my mom got a new iPad)

Keep stitching, you're almost there!

Any new technology can be a challenge. For me it seems like the first time I do something, it takes 2 hours to figure it out. The next time it takes just a minute. It's good to learn though! Facetime is awesome!

We're going to be really cold (for us) overnight and maybe the next day. Stay warm and cozy!

Your sampler looks really beautiful! We still don't have iPhones because we are too cheap to pay the monthly access charges. It was 17 below here when we woke up this morning, with a high predicted of 10. Below. Wind chills are supposed to make it feel like 40-45 below. A good day to stay on the warm side of the door and stitch!

Good Morning!

Your Summer Tribute is beautiful. Love the colours.

You are having a tropical heatwave compared to us (We are currently at -27F with a windchill of -49F).

I would be like Rich--just no patience with that sort of thing.. I don't have a smart phone, but my husband does so I just rely on him when we're out of town, etc. I actually rarely even carry my phone with me except when I'm traveling on my own! (But, I'm addicted to my iPad!!)

Stay warm, Chris--this cold wave is ridiculous! Our high tomorrow is supposed to be zero!

Hi Chris! I appreciate those prayers. It is currently -16º with a -45º windchill. Our bathroom sink pipe is frozen. Brian has been working on it, before it bursts. Geesh!

Face timed? Damn I'm out of it. I have a $7/month flip phone for emergencies. I think you've made great progress on that beauty.

You really are close to a finish on Summer Tribute! So gorgeous! As for phones -- hooray for new ones! My DH just got his first smartphone -- he's in 7th heaven. He just loves it! You are a good wife to configure your sweetie's phone for him!

I got a new phone for Christmas, and my DS immediately took it and made it functional. I probably waste a lot of the capabilities - LoL.
It won't be long until your Summer Sampler is finished. Looking good. Please stay warm and be safe.

Love the progress on the Sampler, very pretty. I just took the pups out to potty and Brrrrr I am orginally from the North now a South Carolina transplant, but have been away for many years, I am not use to this weather. I feel for those north of me

Good luck on the phone tutorial :)

I'm with Rich, but it's good he has you to help him. :) Once my son leaves the nest, I will be sunk with technology. Stay warm!! Thankfully, I don't think it is supposed to last too long.

Great progress! Love the pretty flower border on that sampler. Makes me think of springtime. Definitely not springtime here, the wind is howling outside and wind chills are below zero, brrrr! Stay warm!!

Oh the joys of technology. I've been hearing about the dreadful weather over your way - it sounds pretty extreme.

Just seen the weather over the pond on our news channel, bbrrrr it's cold over there. We've got floods here in the uk at many places.
I'm afraid I am useless with technology!
