But first the holidays...
Oh Thanksgiving, such a wonderful meal and special time. I hope that everyone's holiday and weekend were filled with special things.
I made some progress on Summer Tribute. This is such a pretty sampler.
Here is a little close up. There are so many projects that I want to stitch. I really need to spend more time stitching.
We spent the weekend close to home. The stitching was done while we watched a couple of movies from the library, the latest Star Trek and The Company You Keep with Robert Redford. They were both good.
I did not go shopping except for the weekly trip to the grocery store.
On Saturday I went to a Toys For Tots Zumbathon. A couple of girls from Asheboro came along. 2+ hours of Zumba and then some crunches and other leg lifts and planks with some marines.
Ouch, I am a little sore today.
This is 1 side of the gym. There were maybe 80 people there.
Here I am with my friend Udenia. How come some people don't sweat? I was drenched. So was Udenia. Afterwards we went out to lunch with a group of the organizers and with the marine in full uniform, such fun.
Here is a picture from holidays past. I still think that I am a blonde :)
Have you seen all the advent calendars starting on the blogs? Such fun and inspiration. The stitching community is so wonderful.
I am looking forward to a busy week and to catching up with some friends.
Have a great upcoming week!
Hugs!

Summer Tribute is coming along! It sounds like you have had a delightful weekend. I'm in awe of the 2+ hours of Zumba - that is no small feat!
Oh that is a lovely sampler, even the pink (not a pink person, although do not look at my fabric stash). I would be sweating after that workout.
blessings, jill
You're right! That is a beautiful sampler! 2+ hours of Zumba, plus crunches and planks!? Yikes! I'm always drenched and red as a beet after 10 minutes!
Wow! You really had a workout and what a wonderful event in which to participate.
Summer Tribute is looking better every day.
Advent calendars? Am I missing something?
That uniformed Marine would have been carrying me out in short time.
Beautiful sampler.
The zumbathon almost makes exercise fun! All that exercise on Saturday then a hike on Sunday? Thanks for doing my exercise for me too ;)
Love the vintage sampler you are working on, the colors are so pretty! Have a great week!
Such a great event with the Marines getting involved : ) I'm glad your Thanksgiving was a good one & that you were able to get some stitching in : )
Your sampler is beautiful! I'd be sweaty...and in need of oxygen! Good for you...getting out there and moving!
Have a great week,
Robyn
Glad Thanksgiving was good. Where were ya this year?
Oh my goodness Chris. Good. For. You. THAT is an accomplishment. What a neat event!
Sounds like a great Thanksgiving! Love your stitching progress. And the Zumbathon! Wow! There's no way I could keep up with that. Maybe about a minute. lolol!
Stitching something 'summer' makes me feel like I am in denial of the coming cold. LOL Great progress.
Crafting always seems to come bottom of the list when there are so many things to do Chris. The piece you are working on is very pretty.
Love the nostalgic photo, Chris--you look so cute and excited about Christmas :) My sister just began Zumba and loves it--says she has so much more energy...
Lovely progress on your summer sampler! Happy countdown to Christmas!
I bet your WIP is just stunning in person!
Looking great!!
And I really have to start to Zumba again, I miss it
I've had a lovely catch up read here, you've been busy.
Fun post! I probably still wouldn't be able to move had I done what you did ~ great cause! Such a pretty sampler you are doing!
I always love to see this pretty sampler and the progress you are making on it.
Great workout. I don't know if I could do it. But I needn't think about it because it's not offered anywhere near here, lol.
Very nice picture from down memory lane. And yes, these advent calendars that have started on different blogs are just wonderful to look at.
Ah, December! Pretty progress on the sampler. Zumbathon... afraid two hours would have done me in! Don't you think something is wrong with those no-sweat people?
Wonderful preogress on your sampler. I think you would of found me on the floor during the zumbathon. Non-sweaty people just can't be doing it right!
