Another weekend over....sigh. Why do they go by so fast? I am fortunate to have a weekend off. I feel bad for all my retail friends who had to go to work in the bad weather yesterday, and how the weather impacted sales. Ugh.
So now the fun stuff!!! This morning was another early start. I met Myra(Gr8dames Place Blog) for breakfast and a little holiday celebration.
Myra is an amazing artist. Look what she made for me!
This fabulous snowman. He sits atop an antique spool. Look at his cute nose! And the cardinal! He is now up on my mantle and every time I see him it makes me smile.
She also brought me back this piece of needlework that she finished for me. It is a BBD piece from the Prim Ladies Society.
The piece of fabric that was sent with the kit was cut poorly so I had this piece in my stash.
Sorry that the pics seem so washed out.
Thank you Myra for everything but especially for your friendship.
The rest of my Sunday was spent running errands. After grocery shopping Rich and I stopped by a new hot dog place that has opened in Asheboro. This is Mike's Chicago Hotdogs signature dog.
It looks so festive with the neon green relish and red tomatoes. It was delicious. If you have traveled with me for awhile you know that we always look for local hotdog places and order "all the way," whatever "all the way" may be.
I spent the rest of the day with a short nap and doing some cooking for the week. Now it is time to think about bed as Monday will be here before you know it.
Have a good night.
Chris

What a sweet friend to remember you with such lovely gifts. My hubs never stops to question me when I tell him he can have a hot dog (high cholesterol, HBP), so he is usually off in a flash before I can change my mind. Poor guy, he loves hot dogs.
Thanks for sharing.
blessings, jill

Sounds like the perfect weekend, Chris!!! The mantel looks great especially now that Myra's snowman graces it. I really like the backing that you chose for the BBD piece. Now I'm hungry for a Chicago style hot dog. The neon relish is a "must"!
