It's Friday?!

Hey All!
How are you doing? My week has been pretty busy. Let me show you some of the good stuff...

Tuesday night I met one of my friends at a new restaurant in downtown Greensboro called Crafted. This is a taco place. It was hopping. I enjoyed the meal and look forward to going back.

It was great catching up with my friend. She gifted me with this lovely With Thy Needle floss keeper. I love it.
On Tuesday night we had a little of the white stuff too. This is very early in the season for my part of NC.

This is what it looked like Wednesday morning.

Stop reading here if you don't want to here me blow off steam about my job..
The rest of the week has been been has been mentally exhausting. My pharmacist has left for a 3 week vacation to Australia. So that leaves me with taking care of a lot of extra stuff at work. There are relief pharmacists but because they work so seldom they are there to verify the meds. They can't do data entry or some of the other functions. They are great but it is like training someone on how things are done. Also, it means that I am working some extra every day and it messes with my other commitments. I am happy for my boss to have this opportunity but I resent that I am left with this responsibility. When this job changed to this company last year I took a pay cut, she got a huge raise. Over the last year it has been very hard. She worked for the county for 25 years. During that time she worked with a very limited formulary. So now when I tell her she needs to order something like a zpak she tells me she didn't order it because she wasn't sure how they came?!? She is the pharmacist, I am just the tech. She is being paid for here knowledge. I should not have to tell her how a zpak comes. I should not have to help her figure out pricing. I have had to train her on the new computer system, on third party processing, I have had to find and recruit another tech with the skill set needed for this pharmacy, I have had to work with the clinic to set up the shot patients to get their meds from us, etc. I am tired. If I could find another position that would pay as well I would leave. I also have saved her job. I was asked straight out if she would make it by corporate. Ok.. I am done... Thanks for listening to my babble.
Ugh! I have to leave now for work.

Have a great Friday! At least I have a date tonight with my guy!

I'm so sorry that your work continues to stress and exhaust you. The situation sounds totally unfair and wrong too. Too many have had to take pay cuts unfairly and then take extra burdens on themselves as well. 3 week vacation, huh? I don't think my DH has taken 3 weeks off consecutively in his whole career. Lucky her. Sorry you have to deal with this. :(

Nice that you got a little treat during the week though. I hope that helped to cheer you a bit.

{{Hugs}} I am sorry Chris. It isn't fair. So many things in workplaces aren't, are they?!
Have a super date night my friend.

Sorry all the work stuff has been stressing you, Chris. Sometimes things are not how we hope. Keep trying to find the sunny side of things. Have a fun date night with your guy! and TGIF!!

Chris,
That looks like delicious food.

Snow? Oh no I don't think anyone is ready for that.

What seems to be going on in your work place is going on everywhere. No one wants to take a responsibility for their part. They would rather pass it on to someone who takes their responsibility and is the harder worker. I hope this makes sense.

I hope you weekend goes much better. Have a lovely evening with your guy!

Oh Chris, I think work woes are very common unfortunately. When I was teaching I often came home moaning about lots of things and feeling exhausted - so I know how you feel. Just enjoy your time outside work and keep hoping that something else comes along for you.

yikes!! You are a trooper. Do not think I was ever able to take 3 weeks off when I worked as no one could cover for that length if time.

The snow looks beautiful!

It sounds like you are very much under appreciated! That's a tough place to be especially when it sounds like you are also underpaid. It's tough coming home each day exhausted because work has gotten the best of you.

Sorry that work is so stressful Chris. I can totally relate. I work in the same office with a woman who gets away with murder and gets paid more than me. I would like to look for a new job but I am worried I won't find one that pays as much and I need the flexibility now with my parents' situation. Hang in there! Hope you have a good weekend!

Mexican food looks delish! I am envious of the snow! LOL

And as for your job, well all I can offer is a virtual BIG HUG! I don't know you but you sound like a very strong, intelligent, capable woman with a good heart and a driven spirit. Hang in there! =)

I'm sorry about your job Chris. I remember my working days ... the unfairness I would sometimes see, the stress I would sometimes be under. I am SO glad those days are over. {{{Hugs}}} to you my friend. You are in my prayers.

The food looks yummy and snow!?! My boys were hoping for some here, but we didn't get any!

We had snow flurries the other day - fortunately nothing stuck, but it sure was early for my little corner of central VA. Sorry work is going so badly, hope it calms down soon.

Oh dear, it is so commonplace isn't it? The good people just do not get the credit or promotions they deserve! Hang in there, my dear.

Oh Chris, I wish your work wasn't as stressful. What's happening does seem unfair though. I really hope things get better. I love your snow and that little thread holder is darling! xo
