Date Night

Hello Friends.
How is your weekend going? I am looking forward to a very quiet Sunday. It was foggy and gray this morning so I am going to stay in my fleece loungewear, do some cooking and hopefully some stitching. I should do some dusting....
Friday night Rich and I had a Groupon date night. We started of with Caesar salads with an order of pretzels at Mellow Mushroom and then headed over to War Memorial Auditorium to a Jim Brickman concert. I had purchased these tickets way back in March. I was surprised that the hall was only 1/4 to 1/3 full. It was a lovely concert.
Yesterday the morning was spent with Zumba, grocery shopping. I did some cooking in the afternoon and then we headed down to Durham to the Carolina Theater.

Woohoo! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy!

The theater was easy to get to with very convenient parking.

Love these old theaters.

Almost show time!

What a fun upbeat concert. The band was great. If I have the chance I would definitely go see them again. The venue is great too.
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings are supposed to be there in February.....hmmm. Unfortunately I think I already have some thing on my calendar.
So nice to go out for some events like this.

Enjoy your Sunday!

It sounds like you and the man had a great weekend together. You both deserve it! Today was a PJ sort of day, wasn't it? I couldn't get motivated at all.

What a delightful week-end you and your DH had. I agree about the old theaters. They are often so pretty.

We saw Jim Brinkman a few years back. He is talented! I put my sweats on after church and lounged today too. Perfect for a gray rainy day!
