Red Rocks

Hello Friends!
I still have not found any stitching time. I miss it! Also there has not been my normal catching up with reading and commenting on your blogs. I am looking forward to that, please forgive me for now.
Rich and I headed out first thing on the morning for a jeep your of Sedona.

It was quiet in town. Downtown Sedona reminds me of tourist towns like Gatlinburg.
Our tour guide was great and since it was do early it was just Rich and I on the tour.

Everywhere you go in Sedona you see amazing views.

It is so lovely.

The view from Schnebly lookout. You can see the town if Jerome on the side of the far mountain.
By the time we started down the Schnebly road there were lots of jeeps passing us on the way up. So glad that we had a quiet early trip.
In the afternoon we went for a hike on Little Horse Trail.

Such amazing views.

Stunning plants....

Make sure to look behind you....

These trails are heavily used by hikers and mountain bikers.

And of course when we got to the top of this hike there were lots of the pink jeeps!
After the hike Rich and I spent some time in the pool and the whirlpool. It felt very nice after hiking.
Sedona is a beautiful place. So glad to have seen it, but it is very busy and tourist focused.
So we are headed south next.
Thanks for coming along with me!

AMAZING!!! The last time I flew out to SW Arizona a lady on the plane was telling me how beautiful Sedona was!

I want to go there! Guess I better get busy with winning the lottery!

Gorgeous! I love the red rocks of Arizona! My ancestors settled various parts of AZ, and I have always felt like I belonged there. Someday maybe I can talk my husband into moving there. Can't wait to see where you go next.

Oh, I've always wanted to go to Sedona, and after seeing your lovely photos, it has moved up on my list, Chris!! So glad you are having such an amazing trip out west in spite of the closing of some of the National Parks!

Beautiful pictures. I was fortunate to see this area 20 yrs ago when we were moving to California. We drove from Ky to Ca and made several fun stops on the way. It was a fun little side trip. Your pics brought back some old happy memories. :)
