Struggling Along

Hello Friends & Hello Monday,
I hope that everyone is having a great summer. It seems like many of us are enjoying cooler temps. I always start to dream of all this time of year. I am ready for those crisp, clear days and the crunch of fallen leaves.
The last week has been very busy at my job and I am still struggling to find some balance between work, exercise, housekeeping, stitching and dieting. I don't feel like I am succeeding at any of them.
So I am going to update you with some pics and I hope for a better week...

Here is my Penny America progress...very little :(

I did manage to finally score over a million on Bejeweled Blitz. I have been playing this game for years on FB. It is one of the ways that I start my morning.

Here are a couple of pics from the trail. We have seen a couple of these huge mushrooms this year.

This guy was on the trail yesterday. He sped off when we got closer.

We have made it to the farmer's market a couple of days. Tomato an bacon sandwiches...yum.

This is a mural in downtown Asheboro that I recently found on a walk around the downtown area.

I received some lovely linen in the mail this week.

I did a lot of cooking for the upcoming week the last 2 days.
This is a quiche with onion, spinach bacon and Swiss. Yum.
Now I have to get ready to start the work week.
Thanks for checking in and your lovely comments.

When you manage to strike that balance between work and home and stitching and housework....Please patent it and market it. Like your Penny America...it's on my wish list. Don't like your 'friend' on the trail too much!

I like your Penny start. I think I have that design around here somewhere. The mushroom is beautiful and amazing. Thanks for giving us the proper perspective. Glad I didn't experience the snake!

Enjoy!

Finding that balance can be difficult Chris, especially if you work full time. That snake is very, very long!

Oh there is never enough hours in a day for all the things we want to do, is there? Love the stitching and the quiche looks yummy! Have a great week!

Chris, I had to laugh at Robin's comment on your finding the balance between work and home. Yes, somebody please patent it if there's an answer.

That's some awesome mushroom you found in your walk but I wouldn't have liked finding that snake!

What linens did you get? Oh yes, Penny America is really cute.

It must be so hard to "do everything" when you work full time, Chris. I only work part-time and know I struggle finding the perfect balance, too...

Love your new fabric--such pretty colors and your Penny America WIP gets lovelier each time you show it :)

Great stitching progress and lovely new linen. Finding balance is always a challenge. I always feel that when 1 component slips up they all seem to but you will be back on track before you know it!

Lovely photos Chris! I hope you will have a fabulous week as well : ) The cooler temps are really a blessing for me this year. Can't wait for fall/winter! This morning I actually thought "I'm sick of looking at all this patriotic stuff" & imagined putting out my Christmas decorations ... lol!

Sometimes I'm not sure it is possible to balance everything without driving yourself to exhaustion. If you find a solution, please share. :) And very little progress will eventually lead to a lovely finish. You find the biggest mushrooms. :) And yikes on the snake! Love the linen!

When the job starts to be demanding it's not easy to find a balance between all that it important. Hopefully times will become better for you.
