A Finish, 500th Post & A Chart To Pass On

Good Morning!
I stayed up to finish my Blackbird Designs piece from The Prim Ladies Society.
My friend Carol over at the Polka Dot Chicken blog changed the color of her house and I thought I would do the same since the pale Carmel Corn color that the basket was filled in with was so close to the fabric color. I chose Picket Fence. Go see Carol's version here.
I personalized this with my Aunt Mim's initials and her year of birth. She passed away in April. We lost her way too soon to early onset Alzheimer's. The disease started to appear in her early to mid 50's. I spent lots of time with her as a child. She was artistic and so beautiful.
I can't believe that this is my 500th post!

If you would like this pattern for the BBD piece I would like to pass it along. Please leave a comment on this post saying that you would like a chance for it. I will draw a name out of the hat on Sunday the 7th of July. You must be a follower to participate and new followers are always welcome.

That's it, I am now running late for work.
Have a great week!

Chris

Love your finish, Chris! I'm sorry for the loss of your aunt. Alzheimer's is so scary - I'm sure your aunt would be tickled at your stitched tribute. I've got this chart somewhere so no need to include me.

Your finish is beautiful! Please dont put me in the draw..I just wanted to praise some nice finishing. There are too many illnesses which seem to take the very best people away from their families far too young: your finish is a lovely tribute to your aunt.

So sorry to hear about your cousin Chris. Sounds like she was a very special person. How thoughtful of you to honor her with your stitching. Do not include me in the drawing ... that house is a big block of color you know : ) ... but your finish is gorgeous! Congratulations both on a finish this year & your 500th post!

Gorgeous finish and congrats on your 500th post. Beautiful photo of your Aunt and loved that you stitched her initials. On the bottom, maybe where you won't see the bottom of sampler after its framed, maybe you could stitch "In honor of my Aunt Mim - ____(her name)". Just Beautiful! love Annette

Beautiful new finish, Chris!! Love the color change you made and how you personalized it. I am sorry for your loss. That is a lovely photo of your Aunt. Alzheimer's is so hard on everyone, my Grandmother suffered from it the last 10 years of her life.

Congratulations on a lovely finish, Chris--your change to the basket is perfect!

Your personalization in honor of your aunt is so special... early onset Alzheimer's is so devastating--I'm dealing with my dad's dementia right now and I know how hard it is for the entire family...

Love your finish. This is such a beautiful BBD piece. I love how you personalized for your aunt. My mother died with Alzheimer's and I am now helping to care for my FIL.
I am a nurse practitioner and see how this devastating disease affects many families. Hope to see a cure someday.

I would love a chance at your giveaway. I was unable to justify signing up for the Prim Ladies Society but wish I could have. Such great designs.
