Plodding Along

I have made a small bit of progress on this BBD piece. If I pull a color I try and use it all up before switching to the next color. I am not patient enough to stitch the border first which has lead to heartbreak on past projects. Oh well, this border doesn't really meet up so, no worries.
This showed up on my news feed on Facebook..

Diet coke and needlework. Together. It doesn't get any better!
Do you do a double take when you see cross stitch or needlework in an ad? I hope it is a trend that we will see lots of.

Sweet Dreams!

Your BBD piece is looking good. After seeing this on your blog last week I tracked down the Ladies Prim Club and signed up. I got both of the projects on Monday and dived into the BBD today. Thanks for enabling me!

What a great idea, not stitching the entire border right away. I'll remember that : ) The project is coming along great! Yes, it's nice to see cross stitch in an ad or some sort of decor item.

Yes, it is so neat to spot needlework out in the public. I love it when my teenage boys point it out to me. They appreciate needlework from seeing how much goes into it. =)

Your BBD piece looks great. I vary on whether I finish a border first or not. It's definitely fun to see cross stitch in an ad. I hadn't seen that one before!

Cross stitch in an ad? Great idea! But over here, I think most people wouldn't know what to do with it, lol.

That's a great ad!! Your BBD looks great ~ I used to finish the entire border first, to make sure it met up, but more and more I do it as I go along.

Your BBD is so pretty, Chris! I stitch the borders as I go--just get too bored doing the entire thing first...

Your BBD piece looks so beautiful. I just love the colors. I'm right with you both with the switching colors and not stitching the border first!!! Thanks for sharing the "Coke" picture. I hadn't seen that! Very cool!

You are doing so well on this piece. And I love the Diet Coke cross stitch. Perhaps CocoCola should market this as a kit for their needleworker fans?!
