Happy Memorial Day

Or the start of summer.
When we lived in Connecticut every town had a Memorial Day Parade to honor the armed services. There is only one town in NC that celebrates with a parade. One day I may get to it.
Susan and I had an uneventful trip home from PA. The Dry Goods Market was a wonderful event. I can't wait to go next year. On Saturday I attended 3 lectures and Vera(no blog) came to visit the market and we had lunch. It was great to see her and catch up.
On Saturday night we were able to catch up with friends at an informal pizza party at our friend Kathy's house. It was wonderful to catch up with friends and talk about the event, samplers, etc.
I did stitch in the car on the way home.

This is Margaret Randolph. She has been in my stash for awhile and is a wonderful travel project.

There has not been much stitching this week. I have been busy with the normal stuff.

This guy was in the driveway in front of my car the other morning. I was not able to get very close. He would get upset and wave his claws around. I guess that he was on the driveway to dry out. We have had a lot of rain this spring.
Well that is it from here.
Have a wonderful holiday! If you have to work I hope that everyone is kind and it will be an easy day.

Hugs!

Glad you had such a good time : ) I am sorry to say I have no idea what that thing is in your driveway. I guess I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer this morning. Could you enlighten me?

Margaret is so lovely! I love that blue in the sampler!! Mm, is that a spider or a crab? I'm thinking a spider because a crab wouldn't make any sense!

Hugs!

Glad you had a fun time in PA. Love the new start you are working on, great progress for stitching in the car. I find that so hard, too bouncy for me. Happy Memorial Day! I was excited to go to Down the Hatch today but it was such a mob scene I did not stay. I guess because today was the nicest day of the weekend everyone had the same idea!

We have Memorial Day Parades in almost every town around where I live. I've only been to them a couple of times, though.

Good luck with your new start.
