Thanks for all you kind comments on my missing mojo, unfortunately it is still MIA. Not a stitch the last week. Ugh!
There was talk about stitching. I had dinner Tuesday night with a couple of friends. The one friend is going through her Mom's things and brought some stitching stuff for me to go through and take to the guild. I sat down yesterday and looked through some if it.
There were magazine's from the 80's. here is a profile of Eileen Bennett.
And Tina Richards. Can you see the sheep?
Some pretty stitching. The magazine's had lots of notes in them. There were floss lists too.
It makes me think if all the women that have enjoyed stitching through the years. The organization if their supplies, the colors of floss. It is so nice to have this connection to the past.
Have a great week!

I like that when doing a stitching craft, whatever it might be ... thinking of the women before us who did the same thing. Hopefully crafting will continue in the future. It would be a shame if the girls growing up today turned their backs on crafty pursuits.
When I get great finds at my thrift stores, I do think of the women who owned the patterns before me. And I am so very thankful their things got passed on to the shops for me to find! ;)
Mojo is a flakey thing...it will leave. Hope you have a great week.
Sometimes I find a real treasure in an old stitching magazine.
Don't worry, your mojo will return. Mine always does but I still panic!
~hugs
It's nice that your friend gave you some of her mom's stitching things to look through. Hope your mojo comes back soon.
I inherited a bunch of old mags and recylced them! Sometimes it's better to wrap and store than rid and recycle.
Browsing through history is such fun, even back to thinking of the ladies who stitched by fire light... Mojo will return... you just need a break!
When I loose my stitching mojo...I start to organize all my stitching stuff and low and behold...it comes back!
Just a thought,

That's so great to sift through someone's else's stash!! Those magazines are great. I love finding old magazines in a thrift store!
Oh the "threads" of stitching tie us together in many ways, don't they? Love to look at the "old" articles - since when did the 80's become old? LOL! Have a great week -your mojo will return eventually. Just think of it as a sabbatical.
Those magazines look very interesting.
I'm sure that your mojo will be back soon {{{hugs}}}
How interesting you got to read the old articles, lucky you.
It is so much fun to go through the old stitching stuff--I love it when I come across old magazines and charts to look over. To see the changes over the years is amazing.

How nice to make a connection with the past!
Sorry the mojo hasn't returned yet. I like going through old mags... there's always something interesting in each of them.
Ooooo, those look like the old "Cross Stitch and Country Crafts" magazine (before Better Homes and Gardens got hold of them). I loved those magazines. Hoping your mojo shows up soon.
Wow those take me back. Took a class from Eileen just a couple of years ago though. So we are all still going strong and still stitching. CJ in OK
I'm going through the same thing Chris, I just can't get going with my stitching or blogging at all at the moment.
