A Spot Of Color

Every year I try to buy one new hellibore to add to my patch of them in my garden. They are so delicate and beautiful. Last spring I picked up one and I have been waiting for it to bloom.  Isn't gorgeous! This is the first ont that I have that has double petals. I consider things like this a gift.
Another gift is my friends. I had dinner with a frind that I only may see a couple of times a year and she had good advice for me and words of encouragement.
I am excited about the meeting of the Piedmont Heritage Sampler Guild on Saturday. The program is a challange meeting. Last year the members were challenged to find out about needlework teachers and schools in their home towns. I have been doing my homework and I am so excited to hear what the other members have found out about. I am also looking forward to seeing everyone.
Speaking of gifts there is still time to enter my Sweets for the Sweet Giveaway.

So glad it is Thursday!
For all my friends in CT and NE please go to the store today and spend the next few days snug at home stitching since Charlotte is going to dump so much snow on you!

Hugs
Chris

What a beautiful flower, Chris! I am always amazed at how flowers are created, the colors and petal shapes. I hope you have a great time at the Guild this weekend. I can't wait to get snowed in and stitch! :)

You're so clever adding a new helibore every year. I should do that too but usually I don't get out into the garden until March at the earliest! That new one you bought is just gorgeous!
