Not Even Going To Attempt It

That would be putting up a tree this year. Last year the cats thought that the tree meant party time. C'est la vie!
So some of my ornies are spending the month in the display case at the Seagrove library.

The snowmen look happy.

I hope that people enjoy seeing them.
Last night Rich and I had a night out, a Groupon night out. First stop was Mellow Mushroom for some salad and an order of Parmesan pretzels. Then it was off the the Greensboro Ghost Tours.

This is our tour guide Dan in front of the Carolina Theater. Dan gave us great info on Greensboro's history and the stops on the tour.
It was a fun night out, just what was needed after the week that I have had.
Today has been spent doing the normal Saturday stuff. Zumba, grocery shopping, cooking. I am going to try making the Country Cooks stuffed pepper soup tonight.
I found this at CVS when I was running my days errands.

It has been awhile since I have seen a sampler tin.

I also received some lovely fabric and a Christmas card in the mail from Cindy at Cindy' Cross Stitch Ornaments & Projects blog.

Thank you Cindy! I hope the move is going well. Please send me your new address.
Tomorrow I will be drawing a name for the winner of my Thankful Giveaway. If you haven't left a comment yet on that post there is still time.
That's it for now.
I hope that you have a great Saturday.

Hmmm, parmesan pretzel...yum yum.

I loved seeing photos of all your ornies. I would so like to stitch most of them. The triangular santa finish is amazing and I love the BBD 2004 blackbird ornie. Could you let me know what chart you used for the triangular santa please? Thanks Chris! X

Ps - I'm wondering whether or not we should put our tree up...I think Isaac is going to have a ball pulling off every single bauble!

We are deciding if we should attempt the tree this year with the puppy....he might think it is indoor plumbing! Yikes!

Chris, Your ornies are just beautiful. I'm sure many people will enjoy them. How kind of you to share them. That ghost tour looked like fun. We do them often when we are visiting a new city. There is always so much history. If you ever get to Huntsville,AL they have two terrific ghost tours. Have a great week-end!

That so wonderful to have your ornaments on display at the Library. Who knows how many will be encouraged to take up a needle and thread after seeing your display.

Love the display of your ornaments! I agree with Laurie, it would be great to inspire some new stitchers.

That's two of us Chris, there's no point in us putting a tree up either. My comment to Alan was "I don't want to be the Christmas Tree Police" which I know would happen. I'm debating how I can add some Christmas sparkle that a kitten, a young cat and a poodle won't destroy.

Wow! I guess I am very lucky with Sophie. She doesn't climb the tree & she has no interest in taking off the ornaments & batting them around. Her annoying contribution to Christmas is lying on the tree skirt & wrinkling it. I think I'll be a little more lenient with her this year : ) Your ornaments are gorgeous! I love those sampler tins. Haven't seen them around here. The ghost tour must've been great fun!

I grew up with cats and none of them ever climbed our tree, but so many of my friends had that experience. How neat that you're sharing your ornaments with the library patrons, though! The ghost tour looks like a lot of fun.

Yes, I grew up with cats. A few were the Christmas tree climbers. We had our tree toppled one year, precious ornaments shattered.
Have a great Sunday Chris.

Your ornament display looks great! I am with you about the tree. I do like the tree, but it is a joy after Christmas when I don't have to take it apart! I use other more simple decorations for the holiday season.
