Hello Dear Friends,
As November started, I have been thinking of every one in NJ, NY and CT. Power is still being restored, and there are many dealing with total loss. The news continues to be difficult and sad. I need to go give blood and I continue to think of other ways to help.
It was a difficult week here at work. They department that I am working in is going to be contracted out and the date will be December 1st. I don't know if the new company will hire me or anything about them. I hope that things work out. Keep your fingers crossed.
I received a couple of books in the mail this week.
The new Feller Collection Book.
And the new Whitney catalog.
I am hoping to have a chance to sit down and look through them over the next couple of days.
Today has been what seems to be a normal Saturday. I went to Zumba in the morning. I didn't think that stretchy tight workout pants would start to creep down if you jumped around too much. There was almost a wardrobe malfunction of major proportions. I guess that I need to buy some smaller tighter pants.
After that I did the grocery shopping and errands. I ran into Myra at Aldi. She was out an about doing the same thing. She has some lovely new finishes on her blog.
I have spent the afternoon cooking. Butternut squash, pumpkin bread, putting together a baked ravioli dish for dinner. I was going to make Pioneer Woman's cauliflower soup but I ran out of steam. Maybe tomorrow. It is one of my favorites.
I need to stitch, I probably won't be able to settle down to do that until tonight.
Speaking of stitching and finishing....The Victorian Motto Sampler shop is having a wonderful giveaway all through the month of December. Go sign up now. There is lots of fun to go around.
I am stitching my By The Bay Sal with some of Nancy's wonderful floss.
Well I should go stitch now.
Peace and warm thoughts.
Chris

I hope the new company keeps you on - it seems like it would be a no brainer to hire someone already doing it who knows the process.
Thank you for the link to the Cauliflower Soup - it looks delicious!
Funny you should say that about your exercising britches....mine did the same thing for me this morning.
Smaller pants! That's something I haven't bought in 10 years. Good luck with the new company.
I sure hope you can keep your job! I wish my pants were so big they were falling off!
Yes, I do think you need to invest in some smaller clothes - go you! Those books look very interesting. Now, you have me wanting to make cauliflower soup...it looks really good. Enjoy your Sunday!
The new books look very promising and I'm sure you'll enjoy reading them.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and your job.
I pray the new company will keep you on. Especially since your already doing the job (stay hopeful). Your the first person that I know who got these 2 books. I have heard that they are remarkable. Please at a later post tell us what you think. The book are not cheap:) And if I am correct the one book offers 2 sampler patterns. Don't know if the other one has any patterns. The covers look amazing.
love Annette
Beat of luck at work. I will keep you in my prayers. Your new books look very interesting! Congratulations on the need to buy smaller pants : )
You know what really caught my attention? SMALLER PANTS! So jealous!
I have prayed for your job situation Chris.
sending you big hugs xxx
PW's Cauliflower Soup is one of my favorites, too!
I made it last weekend for my son-in-law who is a cauliflower (of any kind) lover-
Yummers!
I hope things work out for you at work, it's very worrying. I'll keep a good thought Chris.
I'll be interested to hear what you think of the Feller book two - I have book one and I've been debating whether or not to buy the second book.
Keeping you in my thoughts ~ hope all works out with you concerning the job.
Great books!
