A Lovely Day Out

Hello Friends!
I hope that you were as happy as I was to make it to the weekend. After aggravation at my 9-5 job and having to go in to my other job on 3 days I was ready for a lovely day.
It started with Zumba. It was a great class. I am currently down over 50 pounds and am approaching my goal where I want to maintain for awhile. I have also used a free app on my phone called Lose It. The app gives me a calorie budget and allows me to log my meals and exercise. It has definitely helped me stay on track.
My next stop was to pick up Myra and we headed down the road to Lone Star Mercantile in Fuquay Varina, NC.

Here is their info.

They had a wonderful fall/Halloween display.

Don't you love this Halloween bunting?

Look at this wonderful display of over dyes.

I came home with this lovely fabric for my finishing stash and this little kit.
If you have the chance to visit this shop please take the time. It was lovely. They do mail order too.
After shopping the ladies recommended that we go to Main St. Varina and have lunch at Nil's. this place was packed. They had a very nice menu with sandwiches and salads. Myra and I both had Terry's salad...

It had roasted vegetables and hummus on the top. The salad had a Balsamic vinegar dressing and came with homemade bread. Yum.

We were also celebrating Myra's birthday so we headed across the street to Cup Cake Bites. Myra celebrated with a cake pop.

I had a lemon meringue cupcake.
It was a fabulous afternoon and the weather was perfect. Myra, I hope that the rest of your birthday was perfect. Thank you for sharing your special day with me!

Here is a mural that we passed. What a lovely little town.
Last night Rich and I went to see the Bourne Legacy. It was probably the last chance to see this. It was ok but I missed Matt Damon.
Myra also brought me a few things she finished for me so check back soon to see them.
Have a great Sunday!
I need to go do some packing.
