Not Much Stitching, Not Much of Anything

But the weekend is already over!!! Why do they seem to be getting shorter?
Last week was a long work week for me since I was covering the slot of the other tech and still keeping up with some of my own work. So I was really looking forward to enjoying the weekend.
Saturday after Zumba and a shower I headed out to run some errands. They included doing this...

While I was waiting to be called to go into the blood mobile I ran into Myra and her husband. She has been very busy with her job too. I was telling her how much you all love her needle books.

On the bus giving blood.
My errands also included the normal stops, bank, post office, gas station. When I got home I did a lot of cooking for the week. Quiche, pasta salad, an some other stuff.
I did finish this guy.

This month the Christmas All Year Long SAL theme was a bird. See the little blue guys in this ornament? I will try and get the finishing done soon.
I also started this...

I can't share more at the moment.

So now I am looking forward to another busy week. I am determined to stitch a little a couple of nights. Wish me luck!
I hope you had lots of stitching time over the weekend. Wishing you a great upcoming week too.

Hugs

Hi Chris, I think giving blood is so important. I did it very often till I started passing out. It was just miserable so I had to quit! Love the snowman. Hope this is a better stitching week and you get lots done.

Love the ornie finish. Sorry you were so busy at work and busy over the weekend as well. Good for you, though, for giving blood. My DH is very good about doing that, and it looks like my kids will be good too. I, on the other hand -- I have tiny veins so giving blood is not something I feel capable of. Ugh. Hope your week is less busy this time!

Marly is right...where did July go??

I used to give blood but started to get really dizzy and light headed, more and more each time. Boo...so I had to give it up. I think it's a wonderful thing that people donate. We'd be in awful shape without it!

Hope this week provides much more time for stitching, for you and me both!

:o)

Let it Snow looks adorable. I agree with you that this weekend just flew by... and not a lick of stitching done for me until late yesterday evening! Hope you have more stitching and relaxing time this week.

Giving blood is a wonderful thing to do! I've had problems the last few times, so I'm not as eager any more. I really hope that you are able to find some relaxing/stitching time this week! That's a sweet little snowman! :)

Wonderful, Chris that you are a blood doner.

I don't know what has happened to this whole summer...soon it will be fall.

Love your "snowman" counted cross stitchery. Are you going to frame it? I like to make door knob hangers with some of the small counted cross stitchery's that I make.

Hope you are having a little more of a relaxing week!

Love the little snowman. Such a cute little guy.
I'm glad to see you giving blood. I cannot give blood. I tried once, and felt sick for about 2 weeks. It was so hard to recover from it. I am scared to try it again. So many family and friends I know have needed to have blood for accidents, that I wish I could do it. Maybe they should consider doing 1/2 pints for little people like me!
Hope your weekend is more relaxing!

Love the snowman...love all your pieces! FYI, if the ornament exchange is on this year, I've decided to do a cross stitch piece...yay! I'm already stitching one to see if I like it (and if I can make 10 of them). Those origami flower are 5 sheets of paper each, 6 flowers in a bouquet, so a total of 30 sheets. It sounds extreme but the fold is really easy. Take care, keep stitching and posting all your wonderful things.

Giving blood is so important. I am O neg, the universal donor so I used to give whenever I could. Unfortunately now I cant which was quite upsetting but I can see the point of it. Lovely, lovely snowman. I stitched it when it first came out..and I am so glad I am not the only one thinking of christmas!

Good for you for donating blood! I couldn't do it as I get far too dizzy and always pass out! Lovely stitching progress too!
