A Game of Tag

Hello Friends.
Meari tagged me in the Eleven game, so here we go.....

  1. Post the rules.
  2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.
  3. Come up with 11 new questions.
  4. Tag 11 people and link them to your post.
  5. Let them know you tagged them so they can answer the questions.
Meari's questions

1.      Do you have a SABLE (stash acquisition beyond life expectancy) situation? Of course I do, silly girl.

2.      What is the most favorite vacation you’ve been on? There have been a few of them, Hawaii, Nova Scotia, Chattanooga. I am looking forward to adding a lot more to this list.

3.      Have you ever entered your stitching in a competition? Yes, in the local fair a very long time ago. I even got a trophy!

4.      Cat or Dog? We have 2 cats. I would love to have a dog( preferably an Irish Wolfhound or a sloppy Lab) but the schedules that my husband I have always had keep us away from home for long work days. Someday, we will have a dog.

5.      Have you taught anyone how to stitch? Like a child? No. But I think that everyone always shared tips with their stitching friends.

6.      What is/are your favorite TV show(s)? The Closer, The Killing, Mad Men. I watch too much of Investigation Discovery channel while I am stitching.

7.      What is your favorite stitching tool? My scissors.

8.      What brands of floss have you used? DMC, WDW, GAST, NPI, Crescent Colors, AuVera Soie, and I am sure that there are others.

9.      Are you adventurous when it comes to trying new foods? Yes. When traveling I always want to try local places versus chains. I also lived in Japan and i had to be very adventurous then.

10.  Do you like kits or do you like kitting up your own?  It depends on the project. For a sampler or large project I like a kit because I don't have a local shop. Smaller projects I will stash dive for.

11.  If you could do anything for a day, what would it be? I would spend another day with PopPop (my Grandfather).

Ok, I am pretty late to this game so I am not going to tag anyone since I think many of you have been tagged. I would love to see some of my Blog buddies answer these questions.

1. What is your favorite holiday to stitch for?

2. What do you eat for breakfast?

3. Do you stitch in public?

4. Automatic or standard?

5. What is your favorite specialty stitch?

6.If you have a pet(s), what are their names?

7. Do you do mostly cross stitch or do you also do needlepoint, crewel, hardanger, etc ? What other types of embroidery?

8.Do you start your day with tea or coffee, or something else?

9.Do you wear glasses to stitch or do you use magnification?

10. If you go to a potluck what do you make to take?

11. What will you be stitching on today?

Have a peaceful Sunday.

Chris

Hi Chris, for a bit of fun I thought I'd answer your questions!

1. Halloween, closely followed by Christmas.

2. I don't eat breakfast (although I did when pregnant). I know it is supposed to be the most important meal of the day, but I find if I eat breakfast I'm ravenous for the rest of the day!

3. I never stitch in public. Very few people know that I stitch!

4. Auto

5. I love satin stitch (but I hate french knots - yuck!)

6. No pets, but my family had several dogs when I was growing up. Our last dog was a King Charles Cavalier called Scarlett.

7.Cross stitch only!

8. My day has to start with a de-caf tea. I haven't had any caffeine since falling pregnant with my son.

9. I have to take my glasses off when I stitch! Age?!

10. You will have to explain to me what a potluck is! ;0)

11. I haven't done any stitching at all today! But I did look through a few cross stitch mags to pick out my next exchange project.

Have a great day. I hope you're enjoying nice weather in the US...it's horrid here in the UK. :0(

Thanks for playing along! :) Here are my answers.

1. Christmas

2. Instant Oatmeal, usually. Flavored, of course.

3. Yep

4. Automatic, but I can drive a stick.

5. Not fond of specialty stitches, but Queen stitches are pretty.

6. Celeste

7. Cross stitch, but I tried Hardanger earlier this year and liked it.

8. Usually water, but I'm a tea drinker.

9. I *have* to wear glasses or I'm considered dangerous while driving, LOL. I wear glasses and mag eyes when I stitch.

10. I don't have a standard dish that I take. Each time, I try to come up with something different. I've taken kebobs (bit hit!), pasta salad, meatballs, etc.

11. Japanese Garden
