A Little Progress

Thanks everyone for dropping by and commenting on my new start. Also on the mystery bruises, they seem to be a very common phenomenon.

Here is one of our daylillies. Usually the deer have come by and eaten all the buds.

Out first sunflower o the year.

I looking forward to a few more fresh figs this year.

Not much else to report on from here. Rich and I did some trail maintenance on our weekly hike. The last 2 weekends there have been people that have hiked in about a 1/2 hour and camped and have left beer cans and other debris behind. We came out with a bag of garbage. Ugh!
I hope that everyone is having a great Monday. I have Dr. appointments and my mammogram later today and then on to CVS from 6:30 to 10.

Oh - that is such a pretty candle. My eyes hurt just looking at those tiny stitches! LOL

Love the sunflower. I just realized today that I haven't planted any yet this year. Luckily, summer lasts all the way into September here in KY. I think that I'll have some shopping to do on the way home tonight...

Take care and thanks for cleaning up after the camping jerks (pardon my language). I am always surprised by some people...

Take care and have a great week full of fun stitching! (Had to stop at a more positive note.. :-))

That ornament is sure looking good! I'm proud of you for cleaning up the trails. When I helped at my daughter's day care a few years ago, the kids and I always went down to the beach and cleaned up garbage!!I just don't get why people can't throw away their garbage properly!!

Ugh is right. What's wrong with people? We were taught by my parents to clean up before we leave the campsite.

Your ornament is coming along nicely. Pretty flowers. Most of mine have bloomed and faded already.

Love the flower pics, especially the sunflower!

Lovely flower photos. Not so good people leaving rubbish behind - it's so unnecessary.

Lovely start & a gorgeous daylily : ) Love the sunflower. I don't have any planted here because the winds get so terribly high sometimes. Maybe if I planted them against a fence? Sorry to hear about the litterbugs. How lazy can people get? We have people who drive by our house & toss things out of their windows & then John has to go out & clean up the mess. What gets me is when you see in a parking lot that someone has tossed trash, including dirty baby diapers, in the lot & there are trash cans placed conveniently at every cart coral. Sigh!

Great start Chris! That was one of my favorites from that issue. Lovely garden pictures - I can't wait for my sunflowers to bloom.

Love your start ~ especially the berry part!
Pretty flowers, love the color on the sunflower!
Such a shame that people don't follow the "carry in, carry out" rule. Good thing that nature has you and your hubby to help care for it!
