Weekend Recap

Hello Friends!
I hope that everyone had a great spring weekend and had some nice weather to enjoy.
Friday and Saturday were. It's with grocery shopping, vacuuming and some cooking for the week. I have still been making it to Zumba a few times a week.
I did a little stitching on Eveline.

She is coming along.
Sunday I headed down the road to Raleigh to meet up with a friend. We had a nice lunch and then went to the Joel Lane House for a lecture on Books in Colonial America and Book Conservation.

The house is circa 1770. It looks like a Williamsburg house to me.

The lecture was very interesting. Unfortunately the house was not open for a tour.
It was a wonderful afternoon.
I finally had a couple of good nights sleep after a couple of weeks without and I feeling better.
That is it from here.

Happy Monday!

Your Eveline is looking so pretty! The lecture sounds interesting -- and what a pretty house too. Too bad it wasn't open for tours.

Sounds like a lovely weekend! Your Eveline looks beautiful. I love the colors in that one. Are you using the colors charted?

Eveline is looking so pretty. I have the floss ready but not sure of my linen choice yet. Love those pomegranates!

Stitching looks great! It's a shame that you couldn't go inside the home, you could have seen the truly cringe-worthy 'sampler' they present to tourists (it's half-finished, in a hoop with a bar code on it, and it's a STAMPED pattern). The rest of the house is cool though. I've told Alton a couple of times that I (or someone else who loves samplers, hint, hint) should find an NC sampler to stitch for them and deliver it with a short paper on schoolgirl needlework so they can have something a little more accurate to share with folks.

Glad you had a good time with your friend!

PS. I'm getting around to responding to your (and another's) generous award. I just haven't had time to blog here recently!

Eveline is looking so pretty.

I wish I could I could do Zumba. I am so unco-ordinated I get all mixed up. I've found my DVD though and think I might try and perservere with it.
