It was a beautiful spring weekend here in NC. Rich got sun burnt at his rally. I spent my time working on my April ornament for the Christmas All Year Long SAL. This months theme was snowflake.
My choice was the 2007 Rosewood Manor ornament from the 2007 JCS ornament issue. The model was stitched with a gray green color but my kit from the exchange was kitted with a royal blue.
You can't see in this pic, but there was blue blending filament used. It is very pretty but not something that I would have picked, but it is always good to stitch something different. I will probably do the finishing on it later in the month.
I hope that everyone is having a great Monday.
Thanks for visiting and all your kind words about Valda.

Wow, your clematis looks fabulous, Chris. Love the deep purple.
Your April ornament is a real beauty too! Blending filament.. I'm shuddering at the thought! LOL

Gorgeous ornie. I love the look of blending filament but I hate using it.
Your ornament is just beautiful!!! And the clematis, WOW!
Oooo, that ornament turned out beautifully!! Is this from our exchange years ago?? I need to go dig in my kits! =)
I've stitched this in its original colours, but the royal blue is very nice!
It's a beautiful ornament and wonderful stitching!
Your April ornament is very pretty! Hope the Monday blahs aren't too bad.
A very pretty ornament - it's good to do something away from the norm once in a while. Today was still a holiday here in the UK so I won't have that feeling till tomorrow morning.
Gorgeous snowflake ornament - love it!
The April ornament is beautiful! Love the color. Wanted to say congratulations on finishing Eveline too! I really enjoyed the pictures from that post. I'm so behind with commenting - sorry to be so late. :)
So pretty! Lovely ornament.
When I read "hangover" in your post title I was sure you were going to say you were having a chocolate hangover ... lol! I'm glad you had a nice Easter! Your flowers & your snowflake look very pretty! I THINK I used blending filament in one of my long ago projects, either in Stitching Life 1 or 2, & if I'm recalling this correctly it wasn't very easy. Of course my own chocolate hangover might be causing my brain to be a bit foggy : )
Oh, how pretty, Chris!! I do love the color you've used so much :)
Very pretty ornament Chris!
