Usually when I stitch I put my orts on the arm of my chair to be put it my TUSAL jar at the end of the night. Binx hops up on my lap and then starts eating the Orts.
Anyone else have this problem?
Binx just has a teeny tiny little brain.
I think he is snoring now.
Goodnight All!

lol! Well, I have to say that if my ORTs were just lying around, it would certainly be possible that Mia would go for them too. She love eating pieces of string for some reason. Which we learned the hard way when she was a kitten. A trip to the emergency vet was the result of that loooooong string. Which was not my fibers but really a string. Ugh.
Oh do be careful with that Chris. Thread and string do not pass through the digestive system very well. :o) Binx sure is a handsome dude!
Quill does that too!!! At first I thought she was just playing with the orts, but she completely swallows them, yikes! The other day she knocked over my sewing basket and started playing with a spool of yarn... when Erik found her he had to pull 1.5 metres(!) of thread from her mouth... Little just plays with the orts and the other two could care less... LOL!! Never a dull moment, right?
Sophie hasn't done that ... yet ... but she does walk around the house carefully eyeing the floor for crumbs of this & that. Does this say something about my housekeeping? In any event, Myra is right. Thread & string do not pass through the digestive system well. Maybe you can put your orts somewhere out of Binx's way while your stitching? Blessings, Shirlee
Cats never cease to amaze, just as well they have nine lives.
LOL, my Gigi will eat threads too. If I see her, I scream NOOOOO! but she just looks at me all innocent like what is all the fuss about! haha
maloo loves to play with threads..but she never tasted them,.
.may be i dont know..naughty maloo :)
Maybe Binx needs her fiber, lol
Have a great day
Chris: The first time Verne the Cat ate thread I had not known about it until I cleaned the poo box, I found red, green and yellow thread about his droppings, I had to watch him more and more he was a little stinker and could find a thread in the dark.
He never had a problem passing the thread, I was still concerned about it, he was such a little sweety I sure miss him, I am thankful I have Blogs to follow that have Cats.

Maybe I should put orts in the trap! I'm very close to getting them tonight - keep your fingers crossed!
Binx is quite a character! I've been lucky to date, even though I have four cats they have never really bothered with any of my stitching stuff.
ROFL!!!! Nope, don't have that problem although Junior might be born with a taste for them ;o)
