Part 3

Hello Friends,
It has been a quiet weekend here. DH has been finishing taking care of the leaves and I have had some time to stitch.

I have finally made it to part 3 of this mystery sampler. I finally got the border done. I am not one of those disciplined stitchers who stitches the whole border first. I can't do it. I am hoping that the rest of this will go pretty quick and then maybe I will stitch an ornament or two.
The Christmas tree is up. There are no glass ornaments on it and the bottom quarter is empty because the boys think it is some kind of big kitty toy. It has been a long time since we have had kittens in the house. Maybe in another year or so they will settle down. So for now my tree is not as fabulous as it normally is.
That's about it from here. If you are traveling home tomorrow, be safe.

The mystery sampler is coming along beautifully! You are ahead off me in regards to the Christmas decorating. The only thing I have put up is the header pic on my blog. lol

Your sampler is looking lovely Chris.
We're putting up the tree next weekend. I have a 7 month old who has just about mastered the art of crawling so I think it's going to be an interesting year trying to keep him away from the tree!

Beautiful progress on the mystery sampler! lol about the tree. We're wondering how Mia will react this year to ours. Last year she was in pain from her spaying surgery so it wasn't a good indicator. We shall see!

Wonderful progress on both your mystery sampler and your Christmas decorating, Chris. I'm way ahead of my normal game this year, too, as we got our tree up and much of the decorating done yesterday--just goes to show you how much free time you have when you don't host the usual crowd of 25 for Thanksgiving :)

Looking good Chris! We raked and hauled leaves all weekend - I am exhausted.

Your stitching progress looks great. Would you believe that we put the tree up yesterday and NO (yup, zero) ornaments came down overnight? We'll see how next weekend goes when they have another crack at the tree.

Great job on getting that border all stitched up! I am one of those crazy stitchers who gets it all doen first!

Yeah I'm dreading putting the tree up, Zeus is just oh so naughty! She's a devil cat not a princess!

Your sampler looks great! can't wait to see the finished product.
Put some plastic ornaments at the bottom and wire them. That's what we do to avoid things getting broken by large dog tails. : )
Have a great new week.
