I hope that the fall weather is treating everyone well. The leaves are starting to come down here and there is some color here. It has been cooler, days in the 70's. By the middle of the upcoming week our highs are supposed to be in the low 60's. I love it!
The "Drama" last week centered around this guy who got out and was MIA for 4 days. There was another escape today. He is home now and has a little scratch by his eye that I am concerned about. He is much more of a lap cat after his adventures. Hopefully there will be no more escapes and they will settle back down to their indoor cat routine.
Thanks everyone for the kind comments about the trip. Rich and I had a great time. I worked 2 nights this week at the second job so I have been very slow in getting back to the regular routine here. I finally stitched a little on Sarah tonight.
I put in the row of eyelets.
It was a beautiful clear fall day here so Rich and I took a ride up to Riedsville, NC.
I had bought tickets in Groupon for a tour of this house and they had to be used by November.
This is the front.
Part of the garden.
Some details of the gate.
The house was built in 1925. There were no pictures allowed inside. The tour was interesting and enjoyable.
It was the perfect afternoon for some ice cream. How about pumpkin and cinnamon together? Yum!
At the post office today there was a package waiting. I am looking forward to putting this pin cushion from By The Bay Needleart together.
Tomorrow I caved in and agreed to work 4 hours because someone called out. I need to do some cooking fir the week and start to get ready for a trip up to Delaware on Thursday to the Winterthur symposium. I hope to see a lot if wonderful textiles and many friends.
I hope that everyone is finding some time to stitch. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hugs!

Looks like a fun day! If you are going to Winterthur Wednesday, you won't be far from me or the Strawberry Sampler!!
Oh lucky you, going to the Winterthur Symposium!!! Lucky lucky! Are you going to see the jacket there too? Love the pics of that house. Very pretty! Love your stitching too. And your cat -- yikes! We've been lucky with Mia so far, knock on wood. She doesn't seem very interested in escaping, and I'm hoping it'll stay that way!
OH I know you were crazy with worry! I am glad he made it home safely. Darn cats can really drive you nuts. Have fun at the symposium!
I am glad you are back, having a day trip with your Husband is wonderful we do that sometimes ourselves, I love the By The Bay Pattern I have to order it from Donna.
Your poor Boo Boo Kitty, I had a cat that got out, he had no claws on his front paws he came home with a war wound he won the fight, I still told him he was naughty for scaring me.

Ahh, I'm so glad your little fella came home in one piece, hopefully the scratch will heal soon.
Hmmm, cinnamon and pumpkin ice cream??? Not sure about that Chris - I'm more a vanilla girl myself!
