Another Roadtrip

This morning I headed down the road with my friend Susan to the Winterthur textile symposium. Today was just a travel day. Itis about 8 hours from my house.

We made pretty good time, and only hit a few construction delays.

We had plenty of time to swing by The Strawberry Sampler. What a great store. It is a real treat to visit one. They are few and far between any more.

I had to pick up a few things that are on my wish list.
We then checked into the hotel and found a place for some dinner. Chain restaurants are great but whenever I travel I would rather end up at a local place. Tonight we ended up at Deerhead hotdogs.

The Deerhead sauce on this dog is a spicy chili. Yum. Great on a cool blustery evening.
It is going to be an early night tonight since tomorrow is a full day.

Sarah is along for the trip.

I hope everyone had a great Thursday.

Chris

P.S. when I packed my suitcase it still smelled like Hawaii!

Girl - you do have on your traveling shoes! Have a great time and then tell us all about it. I love your new stash. I can hardly wait to go to a "real" cross stitch store myself.

Hope you and Mom get a chance to hang out some. She called me earlier, totally excited about one of the lectures from today (on caskets). You'll have to ask her all about it. I'm looking forward to seeing more posts and photos from your trip. Tell Susan I said hey! (wish I was there instead of preparing for trial next week)

Have fun Chris! Wow, driving for 8 hours? I guess that's nothing in the States but 8 hours driving would get you from the top of the UK all the way to the bottom!
