Easter Sunday

Happy Spring!
I hope that everyone is having a wonderful spring day.

Here is another Piece Myra if fished for me and I saved it the reveal today. Don't you love the egg shape.

Sweet backing fabric too. This is a Lizzie Kate freebie that I stitched in 2003. Thanks Myra for giving it a me life, instead of sitting in a stack if stitched but unfinished projects.

She also finished this one for me. This is one if LHNs ornaments from 2012. I stitched it for my Mom and will take it to her today since we are headed there for dinner.
The boys are having a lazy Sunday...

Beau has been shedding. We call the black clumps of fur that keep appearing throughout the house tumbleweeds.

They also got a new fabulous toy. Here is Binx in action.

Beau too. Silly cats.

Since tomorrow is April 1st the hummingbird feeders went up today. Hopefully our tiny friends will arrive soon.
That is it from here. Have a lovely rest of the day.

Myra To The Rescue

Hello!
I hope that everyone is enjoying a wonderful Friday. The sun is shining here and things are warming up so that makes everything better even though I have to work.
Myra asked for some more from my finished stack to do some finishing on. These pieces have been stitched for years.

Don't they look fabulous?

Isn't the fabric she used for the back of the pumpkins just perfect?

And look at this sweet guy!!! I am in love.
Thank you Myra! There are some more pieces but I thought I would spread them out in a few posts.
I hope that the rest I your Friday is fabulous!

Hugs!

A Few Teeny Tiny Stitches

Hello Dear Friends,
I hope that warmer weather is soon headed your way and you have had some opportunity to stitch.
I have been so busy and tired that I really have had no time to stitch or blog, and various other things in my life. Ugh. I think something has to give.
I have managed a few tiny stitches on M.A. Tipper this week...

I finished the small row of leaves and started some of the verse.
Here's the big picture...

It kinds of put things in perspective. Se what I mean by teeny tiny?
I have been having some allergy triggered headaches/migraines and that hasn't helped with my stitching at all. Hopefully I will get things sorted out and on some kind of schedule soon. I keep saying that...
I am looking forward to an upcoming Sampler guild roadtrip on the 13th and I want to make it over to the Greensboro Historical Museum to see Dolley Madison's red dress.
I had breakfast with Myra last Sunday. It was great to catch up with her.
She did some wonderful finishing for me, stay tunes for pics.
That is it for now.
Hugs and well wishes.

Our Stitching Things....

Hello Friends,
Thanks for all you kind comments on my missing mojo, unfortunately it is still MIA. Not a stitch the last week. Ugh!
There was talk about stitching. I had dinner Tuesday night with a couple of friends. The one friend is going through her Mom's things and brought some stitching stuff for me to go through and take to the guild. I sat down yesterday and looked through some if it.

There were magazine's from the 80's. here is a profile of Eileen Bennett.

And Tina Richards. Can you see the sheep?

Some pretty stitching. The magazine's had lots of notes in them. There were floss lists too.
It makes me think if all the women that have enjoyed stitching through the years. The organization if their supplies, the colors of floss. It is so nice to have this connection to the past.

Have a great week!

Art-o-Mat

While running around Nashville last Friday before the needlework market, Robin and I came across this...
How interesting....
Did you say scissor fob? Now I am rummaging through my cash to come up with a $5 that the machine takes. Robin has one so, the five goes in the machine and we pull the lever....
oohhh.....
aaahhhh.... so sweet and quite thrilling(obviously I need to get out more!).
So I have to get change, let me go down all the stairs and see if I can get 2 $5s for a $10.
This is a fabric artist....
How cool. This is on my bulletin board now.
So these machine's are all over the country. Check out the Art-o-Mat website. The company is in Winston-Salem, NC. Where else would you find old cigarette machines?
Check out this blog, Lucy's Lampshade to see her submission to this company.

So, dear friends, if you ever see one of these machines take a chance and pull the lever.

Have a great week.

Traveling to Nashville

Hello Friends.
The drive to Nashville was uneventful. It was great to talk and catch up. It makes the miles go by quickly. I stitched a little. Yea!

If there is a Russell Stover outlet stitchers always stop. Fortified with chocolate we made the rest of the drive.
Yesterday after setting up the room. Robin and I headed out to visit a couple of sights.

Look at the cool bike rental racks. The bikes even have baskets.
We visited the Tennessee State Museum.

This sweet little sampler was on display. We came across another very cool thing but that is going to be a whole different blog post when I get home and can attach some links.
Then we headed to Broadway.

We stopped here for lunch.

This little place called Diana's that is a soda shop that has been there since 1926.

I love the woodwork.

So of course we had to have lunch.

This was mine. The Diana sundae.
Then we walked down the street and went into Hatch Printing.

They do all these fabulous show posters.

Very cool!
So today is the trade show. The excitement is growing!

Talk to you soon!

Hugs
