Glued To The News

Dear Friends,
I am keeping everyone on the East Coat in my thoughts as we continue to hear about the chaos that Sandy has caused.
The family in CT is without power and hear that it will hopefully be restored by Friday. They are inland, I haven't heard how it is on the coast.
Here we had lots of wind but it seems to have done nothing but bring down more leaves and some small branches.
Tonight I did the finishing on my October ornament for the Christmas All Year Long SAL.

This is Snowden from Heart In Hand. He was a kit that had been in my stash for quite a long time.

The backing fabric that I chose.
10 down and 2 to go! I don't think that I will stitch any Xmas ornaments next year, just Halloween!
Well that's it for now.

Hugs!

Very cute ornament!
It's hard to watch the devastation that this storm has caused. The few issues we had are mild compared to what some are going through.

Hi Chris, Love your new snowman finish! I literally got my power back one hour ago, very shocked! Did not think it would happen for many days. I hope your family is ok. I am only now seeing the news and the unbelievable devastation that hit NYC, South CT, and NJ. It hurts to see how many people have suffered.

Cute snowman. Some day I will commit to sitching up a few ornaments. Right now it's hard to stick to any kind of schedule.
I'm glad you have power back and I continue to remember all those affected by Sandy in my prayers.

So glad you're doing okay & will pray that all will be well with the family in CT. We had quite a bit of wind here in the devil's playground on Monday night & all day yesterday thanks to Sandy. She sure did have a far reaching effect. Snowden looks great & you did a wonderful job of finishing it. I'm jealous : )

Our family in CT still has no power either...sure hope it comes back soon. I feel like we really dodged a bullet with this latest storm, don't you? My heart just breaks for all those poor people in the NY/NJ area....

Cute as a button! Now you can see the end in sight! It will be worth every stitch when you place them all on your tree! Hope everything gets back to normal for the Sandy sufferers very soon. Be well.

This little snowman is a real cutie. I love snowmen a lot. And the backing fabric is perfect for him.
We've seen lots of terrible picures of the damages Sandy was causing on TV. Hopefully your family is safe and is getting back power real soon.
